Al Ihsaan Foundation ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). The App provides charitable and community services, including a Janazah (funeral) registration and notification service, information about the Foundation's projects, and donation details. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully.

Information We Collect

1. Account and Profile Information

When you create an account or sign in to the App, we collect:

• Account Credentials: Email address and password
• Profile Information: Full name and phone number
• Profile Photo (optional): A picture you may choose to upload

2. Janazah (Funeral) Registration Information

When you register a funeral through the App, you provide information about the deceased and the applicant so that we can arrange and announce the funeral service. This may include:

• Information about the deceased: Full name, age, gender, place of death, funeral address, date and time of the funeral, Janaza prayer location, cemetery (Qabarastaan), and service type
• Health-related information: Whether the death was related to COVID-19 (collected only to arrange the appropriate funeral procedures)
• Applicant / responsible party information: Name of the applicant, relationship with the deceased, and the contact number of the responsible party
• Supporting Documents: Documents or photos you upload to support the registration (for example, a death certificate or related paperwork)

Some Janazah registration details (such as the deceased's name, funeral date, prayer location, and cemetery) may be displayed publicly in the App's funeral feed so that the community can attend the funeral and prayers, in line with the purpose of the service.

3. Photos and Media

With your permission, the App may access your device camera and photo gallery to let you capture or select a profile photo or supporting documents to upload.

4. Device and Notification Information

We automatically collect certain information about your device:

• Push Notification Token: A device token generated by Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can deliver notifications to you
• Device Type: Mobile device model and operating system version
• App Usage Data: Features accessed and general diagnostic information used to keep the App working

5. Donations

The App displays the Foundation's bank details so you can make a donation directly through your own bank. We do not collect or process payment card details inside the App, and no payment is taken in the App itself.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

1. Provide Our Services

• Authenticate your identity and provide secure access to your account
• Process Janazah (funeral) registrations and coordinate funeral services
• Publish funeral announcements in the App so the community can attend
• Display Foundation projects, guidelines, and useful tools

2. Send Notifications

• Deliver push notifications about funeral announcements and Foundation activities
• Notify you of updates relevant to registrations you have made

3. Improve and Secure Our Services

• Monitor app performance and diagnose technical issues
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
• Respond to your inquiries and support requests

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

1. Service Providers

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): For push notification delivery
• Google Play Services: For core app functionality

2. Community Display of Funeral Announcements

As described above, certain funeral registration details are shown publicly within the App's funeral feed for the purpose of informing the community. Please do not include sensitive information in free-text fields that you would not want shown to other users.

3. Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law or to comply with legal processes, protect our rights and safety, prevent fraud or security issues, or protect the safety of users and the public.

4. Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity as part of that transaction.

Data Security

• Encryption: Data transmitted between the App and our servers is protected using industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols
• Secure Authentication: Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text
• Access Controls: Access to personal data is limited on a need-to-know basis

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account remains active and as necessary to provide our services, or as required by law. When your account is deleted, we will remove or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

• Update or correct inaccurate information in your account settings
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data (see "Account Deletion" below)

Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by emailing us at info@exera.mu with the subject line "Account Deletion". We will process your request within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records by law.

Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
